Hall and Rooms Available for Private or Commercial Bookings
Please ensure that your hire period caters for you to set up an event and also clear away and clean afterwards.
BHVH does not hold a licence to enable entertainment (e.g. Music (live or recorded)) after 11pm. If you want to go beyond this time you will need to apply for a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) from Shropshire Council (Cost £21). This needs to be in place well before the event and BHVH will need to be informed beforehand as it can only have 15 TENs per year.
The Hall may be booked for recurring or single lettings. Hall hire is charged by the hour or a session. The specified rates cover use of the Hall, and use of the lavatories. In addition to the main hall there is a separate meeting room at the rear of the building the 'Red Room'
The Hall will accommodate a maximum of 80 persons or 100 when set out in a theatre style seating arrangement. The 'Red Room' subject to the layout will accommodate up to 35 persons seated.
A condition of hire is for the premises to be left in a clean and undamaged state. A refundable deposit of £50 is charged.
In 2022 the former Committee Room (Room adjacent to main hall separated by bi-folding doors) has been converted into a Community Coffee House and will not form part of the hired facilities . Similarly the kitchen will not be readily accessible and will only be available for catering use for large events (Necessary as it will be a registered for food preparation). The former bar is being converted into a smaller kitchen for use during room hires.
To Book 'One Off' bookings, use the on line Booking Form - fees and deposits should be made by BACs payments (Full details on booking form). If you are looking for someone else to possibly hire the hall who do not have internet access, down load a hard copy booking form and contact the secretary on 07762 871564.
